I’ve been using the Anycubic Mega-S for the past three years. This printer uses Ultimaker Cura to slice 3D models into printable STL files.
Advantages
- This 3D printer is cheap to buy and maintain.
- It can be moved and cleaned easily.
- Worn out parts can be replaced easily.
- Anycubic parts are cheap and easy to buy online.
- Uses almost any brand of 1.75 PLA, PETG, ABS or TPU filament.
Disadvantages
- A lot of parts have to be replaced from normal and excessive usage throughout several years.
- The printer is loud and vibrates through floors.
- The printer should be bought with a $75 CAD tent enclosure to keep it clean.
- Changing filament while printing or when the printer is ready to print is not a smooth and easy task.
- There is no light around the hot end and above the hot plate to help see the current print.
Summary
This is a very good 3D printer for smaller projects because it's cheap, easy to maintain and it can be transported relatively easily.
