3D overmolding is the process of inserting strong and rigid 3D printed PLA objects inside of soft 3D printed TPU parts. This 3D printing process was directly inspired by the plastic injection overmolding processes. Both 3D printing and plastic injection industries use the same process of embedding hard objects into plastic parts.
