3D Models in PDF files

3D models can be added to portable document format (PDF) files. Interactive 3D model PDF files are created with professional PDF writers like Adobe Acrobat. These PDF files can be previewed using web browsers like Firefox and Chrome, and they are fully interactive using PDF viewers that enable 3D media.

Current PDF writing software available to everyone can be accessed for $14.99 USD paid monthly per computer. Groups and large businesses can spend over $699.99 USD paid yearly per license for the same software.

Although I already use PDF files for my 3D model design and 3D printing business, I currently don’t use PDF files that include 3D models. Images and videos of 3D models are cheaply produced and free apps are available for viewing 3D models. Also, current web browser PDF viewers do not support 3D media in PDF files.
